What each column means
- Medicaid (weight loss)
- Whether the state's Medicaid program covers a GLP-1 prescribed for weight loss. Most states cover GLP-1s for type 2 diabetes but not weight loss alone; some require step therapy first.
- Interstate telehealth Rx
- Whether a telehealth clinician licensed out of state can prescribe to a resident, or whether the platform must use in-state-licensed clinicians.
- Compounding (2026)
- Whether 503A pharmacies are still compounding semaglutide/tirzepatide in the state after the FDA's 2026 shortage-removal guidance, which narrowed compounding to documented individual clinical need.
- Adult obesity
- State adult obesity prevalence (CDC BRFSS), included for context on demand.
