DEA telehealth rule (2025)
Federal rule narrowing telehealth controlled-substance prescribing after the COVID-era flexibilities expired.
Effective November 2025. Allows 30-day controlled-substance prescriptions via telehealth-only. Anything beyond 30 days requires one in-person visit within the prior 6 months. Impacts ADHD stimulants, benzodiazepines, and buprenorphine telehealth prescribing.
